In support of United Nations Development Programme’s Sustainable Develpment Goals (SDGs), Thunderfoot was recruited to design and execute a digital story to educate people around the world on the need for sustainable consumption practices. Leveraging insights from our work on the UNDP’s Human Development Reports (HDR), our web design and development team undertook the project with a strong understanding of the best stategies for moving global audiences.
Since the goal of this digital story was to help users integrate sustainable practices into their daily lives, our design team built interactive resolution lists that could be customized and shared on social media.
Sustainable consumption is a complex and multi-dimensional goal. This digital story served as a comprehensive, but digestable look at the dangers of today’s consumption habits and what changes are needed to avoid ecological disaster. Bold imagery overlayed with minimalist graphic elements was used throughout the report to emphasize its themes of urgency as well as optimism.
